Welcome to Choices Home for Children (Choices) and taking the time to look at our homes and what we have to offer young people.

Choices was established in 1995 with goal of offering the best care for young people with complex needs and challenging behaviour.  Working in partnership with the young people, their families and placing authorities to build a caring, therapeutic, stable environment providing confidence for them follow independent living.

Our philosophy is that our homes should provide a nurturing environment with familiar faces to make the young people feel inclusive in a warm and caring home, leading a meaningful life in the community after the age of 18.

Our Teams

We have highly experienced and qualified teams who are committed to the care of young people. We have an extensive training programme and provide courses for our teams to enable accreditation by way of certificates.  We run internal and external courses to ensure that we are meeting all the requirements to place young people in our care.

Young People

Each young person is supported by an individual team member working with them to develop positive relationships and address the often-painful issues that have brought them to our care.

We provide support through our teams and associates to prepare the young person to achieve their maximum potential.  We support schooling and provide activities to ensure that they experience a new life and can look ahead and recognise future opportunities.

Residential homes

Choices operates 4 Ofsted registered residential children’s homes which are in and around the Stockport area.  We provide residential care for short, medium, and long stay placements and can accommodate emergency admission and placements whilst waiting for assessments.
